OBE FOR FRANK LAND
Frank Land has been awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, for services to the information systems industry.Frank was with Lyons and LEO for 15 years, before joining the LSE to become the UK’s first professor of information systems.

Following the much-deserved award mentioned above, and interview with Frank has been chosen as the British Library recording of the week and it can be heard on The British Library Website

LYONS/LEO DAY AT THE CENTRE FOR COMPUTING HISTORY (CCH), 10th August 2019
On Saturday Neville Lyons gave a talk on the history of the J Lyons Food Empire followed by Chris Monk of the CCH explaining the detailed work currently being undertaken by the Heritage Lottery Funded project to achieve Virtual Reality of LEO1. LEO Day Report and pictures
On the previous day, Peter Byford and Ray Ivatt had been given a Virtual Reality demonstration by Chris Monk and his colleague, Richard, and were able to use the VR headset to walk around the LEO l computer room. VR Report and pictures
